Iranian Assassination Plot, Cui Bono?

By Andrew McCleese

The alleged Iranian plot to assassinate Saudi Arabian ambassador Adel Al-Jubeir was described by FBI Chief Robert Mueller as something from the pages of a “Hollywood script.”  If this story strains credulity and sounds like a fabrication then there are plenty of reasons to suspect that it is a script.  A walk around the Internet to find all the details I could about this planned “terrorist act” lead me from story to story in the mainstream corporate media simply parroting the same statements made by an embattled Department of Justice (thanks to Eric Holder’s Fast and Furious scandal) and other Federal spokesmen.  Reporting in the mainstream is regurgitating.  On each media outlet’s website the same details were given about the crime, that is to say, few  details were given and all the evidence so far comes in the form of statements from an informant of unknown credibility.   What was also similar on each website were the reader comments.  Virtually every single comment about this plot said the same thing, regardless of whether or not it was CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, Raw Story, Yahoo, AP or Reuters.  I can sum up the American citizenry’s sentiment about this story in one short sentence.

Dear government, we do not believe you.

And why would Americans indefinitely buy the same story?  Coincidentally this story is buttressed by the revelation from a watchdog group (sic) that Iran has nuclear sites that can be seen on satellite images. This is all 2003 again and WMDs in Iraq.  It also seems like whenever there is a backlash about a new security measure or military action in a foreign land, or even question the eligibility of the President or now the competence of the Attorney General, the Federal government invariably trots out some mentally challenged, usually drug addicted patsy to prove to the American people how effective the Federal government is  at keeping you safe when implementing their superbly effective policies.   The early indications about assassin are that he was no mastermind; actually he was just a used car salesman.  The terrorist in training conveniently confesses after 12 days of interrogation (sic) in some FBI hole, not charged with a crime and no hope of getting out or seeing an attorney.  Confession is the only hope for freedom thanks to the constant State of Emergency since 9-11 that suspends Habeas Corpus.

The script is always the same.  It always involves some reject who could never possibly pose any threat to the populace unless aided by the U.S. government in some way, the Sharp Dress Man in the Underwear Bomber case comes to mind.  Also conveniently this coached up imbecilic Underwear Bomber changed his plea today to guilty after it was announced  yesterday Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab had planned to call Detroit attorney Kurt Haskell to his defense, potentially blowing the case completely for the state as Haskell could testify to Abdulmutallab’s intelligence escort throughout this operation and airport security without any documentation.   Haskell also said recently that Abdulmutallab’s behavior in court resembles that of  a coached witness and the fact that he has denied counsel is all the more indication that this patsy believes he has a secret deal with the U.S. government as part of this clear false flag.

After all, the State Department did not revoke Abdulmutallab’s visa even after his own father warned the U.S. government of his desire to blow up embassies.  If a Tea Party can be co-opted by the GOP and an Occupy Wall Street movement by the DNC, is it outside the realm of possibility Abdulmutallab’s hatred of the U.S. was also co-opted and directed for the gain of more government control and private industry profit (Chertoff body scanners – surveillance tech)?

There is always an “informant” either directing the operation or who is the unquestioned source of the intelligence that leads to the foiling of the conspiracy to commit terror, this is a repeating plotline.  There are far too many examples to name, but in some instances the FBI (who is usually involved in these investigations) may actually bribe the would-be terrorist into planning the act.  A great example of this would be the Synagogue Plot in New York City from a few years ago where the FBI offered a liver transplant for the dying brother of a co-conspirator in the operation, David Williams.  Seriously, the list is too long to name or ignore.  Even Fox News’ Geraldo Rivera had to admit on the Bill O’Reilly Show that a good many if not all of these plots amount to little more than government entrapment or direction.  I have some different words other than entrapment and undercover informants to describe these events and their actors.  Those words would be false flag operations and government co-conspirators.

So why were so many people on the comment sections and discussion forums around the web today questioning the authenticity of this latest government claim?  Perhaps because more and more Americans are beginning to understand the first step in critical thinking, and that is to ask cui bono or who benefits.

Ask yourself what Iran possibly has to gain from the death of a single Saudi Ambassador?  What does blowing up embassies in two nations who are desperately seeking a war with Iran benefit the regime in Tehran?   If you can’t come up with anything other than “Iran is just crazy like that” or some derivation, it may be time to put on a cone hat and sit in the corner while the adults continue reading.  Most of the arguments that Iran is a “crazy” or dangerous nation are not at all supported by facts or observations; it is
pure, unadulterated Neocon propaganda and Fox News misinformation.   The fact is Iran has a strict non-aggression policy and has not launched a war in over 200 years.

Many of the Neoconservative persuasion will certainly try and craft some argument about the Mahdi because some blowhard on Fox News or The Weekly Standard has said the apocalyptic vision of the “Twelvers” is somehow different than the 50 million Christian Zionist followers of Pastor Hagee that believe supporting the nation of Israel will bring about the return of Christ and the End-Time.  Each year a group taunts Muslims at the Dome of the Rock by driving the cornerstone of the planned 3rd Temple of Solomon around the mosque.  For the Christian Zionist vision, there is actual terror occurring right now in Palestine in many forms including violent eviction and genocide.

Surely one of these types of arguments may use the words “wipe Israel off the map” without the speaker having a clue that those words were never spoke in that translation or context by Ahmadinejad.  This is simply another case of repeat a lie enough from the mouths of Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin and it will become true for some.  The actual translation was “regime erased from the pages of time” delivered to an Asian conference speaking about the Israeli government (a government constantly threating Iran with military attack or international sanctions).   Unlike Iran who made a simple remark about what the arc of history would look like with a different regime in one country, the U.S. often at the behest of Israel routinely engages in aggressive and illegal warfare for the sole purpose of regime change.  We have three current examples to work with in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya.  Yemen, Syria, Pakistan and Iran all still on the table for the empire.

Regardless of what Ahmadinejad said, he does not control the military or military policy.  He is not the “Commander in Chief” and he is largely a figurehead for the real power which is the mullahs.  The mullahs of Iran are pragmatist for a variety of reasons, mainly because their grip on power is so very tenuous.  American interests have been implicated in assassinations of scientists, funding of terrorists groups and color revolutions for some time now in that nation.  The U.S. has gone so far as to stage terror inside Iran in an effort to overthrow the democratically elected President of Iran in 1953.  Any attack on not one, but two far superior nations (both from an economic and military sense) with nuclear weapons is total suicide for Iran and the mullahs have a firm understanding of this reality.  Iran poses no military threat to either America or Israel unless invaded, then the Iranians have shown they can defend every inch of their soil from a modern military attack funded by Western interest (Iran-Iraq War).  It was just a couple weeks ago the U.S. Naval brass mocked the Iranian Navy and said Iran has virtually no offensive capabilities and any missile launched from an Iranian Naval vessel would never hit its target (intercepted).  Suddenly, Iran is the greatest threat in the world once again and as Joe Biden said “nothing is off the table” for dealing with Iran, except maybe for sanity and reason.

So if Iran doesn’t benefit, who does?  Back to the comment sections of various websites around the globe and the general consensus is the U.S. and Israel benefit.  In particular Eric Holder benefits from distraction of his crimes and cover ups in Fast and Furious.  Obama benefits because he is sagging in the polls, the economy is faltering and heading toward a double dip (if you believe we ever exited the first dip that is).  Wars have always been used by the political establishment to cling to control and to distract from economic troubles at home.  Some people even believe the “broken window” fallacy that wars help an economy when in fact wars simply destroy capital, human and business.  Some of these people who believe this fallacy are in government.

With 1,300 protests around the country in the Occupy Movement and the Senate in D.C. being stormed, now is probably as good of a time as any to roll out the war machine to distract the troubled masses.  What lends credence to this theory is that this Iranian plot is old news, very old news.  The same information and “evidence” has been held for over a year, since June 2010 by the Justice Department and Obama Administration and it was suddenly rolled out at the same time as Holder is under fire, protests all across the country, economic trouble everywhere and when we magically have satellite images of nuclear facilities in Iran?   Come on guys, even Ehren Kruger writes better screenplays than that.  That is a Michael Bay production.

Why else would the U.S. government benefit?  The central government in Washington D.C. benefits because every instance of “terror”, whether real or promulgated, has been used to justify more limits on freedom and more surveillance by the state.  There have been no exceptions.  Sometimes nothing concrete materializes in the form of a law or “policy and procedure”, but there is always a proposed amendment to some bill or some bill or some politician stumping on fear after one of these alleged plots is exposed.  Many times however some pretty harsh restrictions materialize, like DNA destroying naked body scanning machines built by Michael Chertoff or the TSA sticking their hands down your pants, the FBI and the NSA tapping your phone, probing your bank records, reading your emails or texts.  Remember – it’s not paranoia when it is 100% true.

There of course is that whole business of who truly profits from a war like one against Iran?  All wars are rackets used to profit a select few.  Those select few are the private central banks which finance the efforts, the defense contractors which build the armaments and the no bid Halliburtons of the world that move in after the infrastructure is bombed out to “rebuild”.  Read the short paper by General Smedley Butler called “War is a Racket”, he is much more qualified to explain how this has historically transpired than am I.  The fact remains however that Iran is not going to profit in any way shape or form from a war that will involve two nuclear armed advanced militaries invading their nation.

Additionally we know that Israel has been campaigning hard for a war with Iran for years.  The reason is very simple and Jews everywhere around the globe openly admit to it as do the leaders of Israel.  Without the holocaust or the fear of another holocaust, the nation of Israel has no purpose.  Israel is viewed by Jews around the world as the preventative measure against another holocaust.  The government and nation of Israel cannot exist without an enemy on their doorstep simply waiting to annihilate them and a nuclear Iran as a crazy, backward country sure seems to fit the need (sounds like “social cohesion” from PNAC Rebuilding America’s Defenses as well).  Israel then loses the supposed moral high ground for seizing Palestinian land if not constantly under threat.   I wonder why no other cultures, religions, or races that have suffered genocide and ethnic cleansing feel the same way or establish a nation entirely built on fear of attack?  Of course, the mere mention of these arguments is always met with charges of anti-Semitism, which is far outside the scope of this commentary to attempt to combat.

In the end, regardless of whether or not the vast majority of the American people reject this fable as it appears they have in the early stages, it will not change the modus operandi of a government that long ago forgot the principle of consent of the governed.

UPDATE: 10-13-2011

It appears now that the mainstream media are once again Johnny Come Latelies and are reporting that world leaders and intelligence experts from around the globe are skeptical of American claims.  Additionally, word is the Obama Regime has made “direct contact” with Tehran despite this skepticism and issued a threat of retaliation.  Some sources are reporting that a military strike on Iran is greenlighted within a two week time frame.

I wear many hats but history, economics and political observance have always been a passion. I am a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Business with a degree in Information Systems and Digital Business with a minor in European History. I work for a small mom-and-pop IT consulting and software design company. We deal in servicing mostly government funded non-profit mental and behavioral health care agencies in the state of Ohio. In this I deal with Medicaid and Medicare funds and have a little insight on the boondoggles of government there. Thankfully the undemanding nature of my daily profession gives me ample time to read and stay aware of our current state of affairs which I find stranger than fiction in many instances. In addition to being in the IT field, I have also been self employed with a small contracting company so I might know a thing or two about the plight of small business that employs 71% of the American workforce. I however don't draw my knowledge from my day jobs, which I have had a few; I draw it from an intense obsession with facts and observation about the world in which I live. I do have formal education in things such as history, economics and finance particularly as it pertains to global issues, but I have come to find much of what I thought I knew from the formalities of a state university I had to unlearn through much time and independent research. I hope you enjoy what I bring you which is not often heard in the mainstream news outlets. I would like to think my own personal editorializing is not only edifying but thought provoking while not at all obnoxious. That last one may be a hard to achieve.

The Iranians are obviously guilty of all crimes committed everywhere in the world and throughout history. Who murdered JFK and several other U.S. presidents? Is it a myth that the Romans crucified Jesus, induced to do so by those Jewish leaders? Surely it was the Iranians. That apple used to get a couple thrown out of some nice garden was undoubtedly supplied by the Iranians.

If they gave out a award for ignorance and denial America would win hands down. there are many lessons to be learned from history but only if you aren’t dumbed down. We lost this country in1913 when the Federal reserve took control of issuing our currency. The creation of the IRS sealed the deal. “”permit me to issue and control the money of a nation and i care not who makes the laws. Myer Anshel Rothschild. The Federal Reserve, the IRS, the CIA and the AMA are creations of the Rothschilds. “If a nation expects to be ignorant and free in a state of civilization, it expects was never was and what never will be…if we are to guard against ignorance and remain free, it is the responsibility of every citizen to be informed.” Thomas Jefferson.
