Fox Cancels FreedomWatch with Judge Napolitano

FreedomWatch Cancelled

Too truthful to tolerate?

Today, jaws could practically be heard dropping right on the facebook screen as news spread that FreedomWatch with Judge Andrew Napolitano has been cancelled.

“sad news friends, but don’t worry I’ll still be here defending liberty.” Napolitano said in a facebook status update.

The move comes as no surprise to those who have watched as the ‘fourth estate’ has been compromised over the course of decades and the day after Napolitano told the world what we reported here a month ago- that Ron Paul can win the nomination even if he never wins a single state.  Was that report the straw that broke the establishment camel’s back?  I’ll leave that to the theorists.

FreedomWatch, based on my own personal experiences, was one of the most widely respected TV shows in existence- amongst those who prefer to learn the difficult truths that mark our time.  For years now, even at Tea Party events that were primarily driven by neo-conservative viewpoints, I’ve found universal praise for the work that Judge Nap has done for freedom.  AT LEAST those who only watched Fox shows were getting a healthy dose of the truth through FreedomWatch- now, Fox is devoid of even a single voice that I can call a force for liberty.

Napolitano is also accepted in Libertarian circles and is often found on short lists with the likes of Ron Paul & Lew Rockwell.  I’ve never personally met a political junkie who didn’t like at least some of what Judge Nap had to say, so it’s easy for the cancellation to seem absurd- except when one considers who actually calls the shots in Televisionland, which is the advertisers of course.

The question becomes, where will he go now?  Napolitano’s voice is certainly too loud and too valuable to stay suppressed for long. We’ll be watching in eager anticipation, but the good news is that if the above facebook/twitter message is any indication, he’ll be back.

A sad day for truth and freedom for certain but honestly, I can’t believe he’s been on this long.

I wouldn’t doubt it had something to do with his comment on Ron Paul delegates. I listen to a lot of talk radio to keep up with the neo-cons’ talking points and latest absurdities and only one time have I heard any mention of delegates, and never how the delegate situation works.

Lets cancell Fox news! I can’t believe these obvious pro zionist rats would do this. I propose an entire black out on Fox News for their bias. They make it blatant too! So they’re not fooling anyone. We know about their bias towards Ron Paul. Their channel is being blocked as i type this message!

OMG! The last and only hope we had of the sheeple learning the truth has now been silenced. I think he needs to get a radio show on Sirius Patriot Channel, it would be an instant success and he might even blow idiot Mark Levin out of the water! A sad, sad day for me. Everyone make sure you buy the Judge’s books! Maybe Amazon won’t sell his books either! This country is going to hell!

Ron Paul can win the nomination even if he never wins a single state. He will. The Fox News network is crap anyway. I turn away from it like I do Covergirl and JC Penny . I will look for the Judge though.

I gave up on FOX News a long time ago. They have become shills for the Republicans like the other media are for the Dems. I do my own news scanning, checking things like Daily Caller and the Blaze, and a lot of libertarian blogs.

And myself and millions of others will be voting for Ron Paul in November, either as the Republican candidate or as an independent/write-in.

Judge Napolitano’s show was the only thing on Faux worth watching.

I had twitted to the Judge not long ago when I was so pissed that the others on Fox just ignored Ron Paul. I asked him how long before they let him go, beings he’s the only one speaking of the ONE TRUE CONSERVATIVE. Didn’t take long, and now am wondering how long before Stossel is gone. These F*@##**# Neocons (Rupert and gang) don’t want Honest men reporting only their Bias Agenda. Notice how Sean Hannity and even O’Reilly belittle Ron Paul as many others. They’re all Neocon SOB’s. My husband told me long ago they were getting as bad as the other liberal stations, and they have. I’ve always liked Glenn Beck, Hannity and O’Reilly but they are unfair to Ron Paul.Hope Cavuto will cont. to be fair.

I stopped watching Fox several years ago after they all became clones of each other. Fair and balanced my ass! They’re about as fair as a cloudy day, and as balanced as the National Debt! Bill O’really is a washed up douche bag who bullies his guest if they’re not in agreement with his lopsided opinion. He likes to have Steve Doocy and Martha MacCallum sitting in chair lower than him so he can look astute while they’re sucking up and kissing his ass! If I were on his show and he dogged me like he has some of his guest, I must say that he would get a good old fashioned southern ass whoopin on live tv :) By the way FOX, Ron Paul will be on the Presidential ticket without your fair and balanced support!

I cancelled cable as a result of this.
A did go buy a Sony TV to watch stream media media but was torn between ROKU as it had a FoxNEWs icon in its menu.

While I don’t like the Sony menu, I am now glad I didn’t get the other based on it having Fn.
Guess someone was looking out for me.

With few exceptions television is a waste of my time. News? What a joke! It is all the same from channel to channel; hyperbole and propaganda. Local stuff stinks too – all murder, rapes, abuse stories, accidents, etc. – deliberately distorting reality it leaves one either angry, depressed or numb. Stopped watching it decades ago.

Dump your cable and satellite. Save yourself some money for books, or E-books.

You want the truth? Stop watching TV and start thinking and seeking.

    February 9, 2012 at 11:55 pm

    People, people, people! PLEASE!

Why are so many of you wrapped up in the identity of TV personalities? Good grief no wonder we are in this mess as a nation – so many of us BELIEVE the garbage being spewed from the “boob tube”.

Why would anyone spend time listening to the spin everyday? Do they think they are smart enough to see through it?

Or perhaps they don’t think so deeply and like to parrot the talking points of their favorite talking head at work the next day?

Debating falsely framed arguments without a constitutional reference point is like going into a round room and trying to pee in the corner – a proper conclusion is IMPOSSIBLE.

  43. Kristin Keegan

    February 10, 2012 at 1:08 am

@Dale, get a grip! Have you ever watched the Judge? Have you listened to him, ever?

Do you think you have the only bit of discernment left in the world?

    Please, please, please!

Please write to Ms. Irina Briganti at FOX Media Relations to protest this cancellation!

Below is my email to her…

    Dear Ms. Briganti:

I recently heard of your network’s intention to cancel one of my favorite news shows, “Freedom Watch’ with Judge Andrew Napolitano. In my opinion, this will be a mistake of epic proportions. Much of what Judge Napolitano presents on his show can be found nowhere else on television, and his erudite and common-sense analysis of both daily news and social and political trends is both insightful and informative. His interviews and guests provide a sharp contrast to what is seen on most other news networks, and is one of the best shows on either FOX Business or FOX News.

I fail to see any logical reasoning behind this cancellation, as his ratings are steady, and he has one of the most devoted audiences. In addition, he continues to draw one of the highest audiences in the coveted 18-34 age demographic, so the decision to cancel is not only puzzling, but troubling. Is there more than just a ‘business’ reason for canceling ‘Freedom Watch’? Or is his advocacy of libertarian vies anathema to what is increasingly and obviously becoming a growing ideological ossification at the FOX Networks of a mainstream Neo-Conservative Republican ideology?

I am what you would call a ‘News Junkie’. I read, watch and view nearly EVERYTHING, from all viewpoints. I like the free exchange of ideas even if I do not agree with them. Your decision to muzzle the ONE libertarian Constitutionalist viewpoint on the air is not only disappointing to me (and millions of other viewers), but indicates a serious disregard for your viewers. If you decide to go ahead with this cancellation, I will not only refuse to watch any FOX network programs (FOX, FOX News, FOX Business), but will encourage others to do so. This will include usage of Social Media, letter writing, and writing to advertisers to encourage them not to buy air time on a network that disregards it’s viewers in such a manner.

Having worked in the media and broadcast advertising for many years, I realize (as I’m sure you do) that for every person who takes the time to write to you, there are many, many more who feel the same way that do not write in- but merely stop watching. I assure you that this decision will not sit well with many conservatives who appreciate Judge Napolitano’s voice and viewpoints, and I encourage you in the strongest terms to reconsider your decision.

Such actions by Fox News promote self-defeating reactions. Making martyrs serves to energize and perpetuate their ideas. Dumb move on the part of Fox News. I and all my friends will now dump Fox News.

I wish I could say that I’d boycott Faux News here on in, in protest. But I had their number 10 years ago and turned them off, then. I WISH “conservative” citizens would STOP listening to Faux, the right wing talking heads because they are being brutalized by their “mind”handling, manhandling, propaganda spreading gurus.

Step back and LISTEN. What is their message? “The GOP is good, the Democrats are bad, anyone who votes Democrat is either stupid, evil or on welfare and NEVER, EVER have any contact w/Democrat citizens because the are evil.

In short, if you analyze the message, ALWAYS the underlying theme propagates and perpetuates a civil war among Americans, at a time we should ALL STAND SHOULDER TO SHOULDER to get rid of the regime which controls media.

Am sorry to see Napolitano go, but it was predictable. The regime in DC that owns all media simply could not abide truth going over their airwaves.

CFR members there, past and present: Rupert Murdoch, Billy Krystal, Charles Krauthammer, Wm. F. Buckley, Tony Snow. Frequent guests include Newt and Dick Armey.

But all there are steeped in CFR associations. And therefor, all are NWO, Global Oligarchy which translates to the elimination of our sovereign Republic as their combined goal.

I sincerely hope the Judge can find another national outlet, his voice needs be heard.

Fox news has concerned me for some time now. They have been the only truthful and I dare say “balanced” source for news in the past. Concern when Glenn Beck suddenly departs. Then we start to see the influx of horrible liberal voices front and center—–>Bob Beckel and now SALLY KOHN! WTH? Pressure from somewhere? Stay tuned… doesn’t look good.
